Keith is right, a good UHF antenna will pick up the higher VHF channels reasonably well. Like from around Channel 7 and up. Your main problem is that most of your stations are in the same general direction, which is good because you could pick them up great with a small directional antenna, but then there a couple of channels that are way off in other directions. You can get a multi-directional antenna, but then they are bigger. So if you want a smaller antenna, you might need a rotor. It's a compromise depending on what channels you feel you 'need' to get good signals on for sure.
