Wow this is a real crapy filter!
I’ve had it on now for 6K miles with Zero oil consumption and I see the oil on dip stick is a little dark now!
But that means Jack, because there’s a tiny “gap” below the bypass !
The horror!!!

No pics , never happened.

Unfortunately yes. I did this Endurance c&p last week.
Congrats on no oil consumption! That’s rare for Hyundai/Kia.

Fram lost me until they correct/fix this defect :(
Even if they correct this they have lost me. They don’t sell the Endurance in Canada so I had to buy it in the US and it works out to be $21 CDN, compared to just under $8 CDN for the Carquest Premium. And there is a Carquest location that I can actually see right now as I look out the window of my place so it doesn’t get much more convenient than that! 🤩

OP is a Fram lover who simply doesn't understand how a filter works.
He believes that a leak in the filter bypass valve will cause his engine to lose oil.
He says that the filter is good because he hasn't lost any oil and the oil has darkened normally.

He is trying to be sarcastic/humorous but the ignorance is showing.
Oh yes. The dead horse guy. Round and round we go…troll thread.

It’s such an easy issue to fix, just stamp & bend the leaf spring correctly, or put a gasket between it & the end cap. If FB gave a crap!
