My wife’s fit got this code today. Bank 1 sensor 1 fuel system too rich. Hard shifting may be a symptom of this code. I ordered a new air/fuel sensor and a new mass air flow sensor. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Actually got a P0171 earlier this week on our Honda.

No obvious air leaks, maf seems perfectly fine, spent the better part of 2 hours checking hoses for air leaks, spraying starter fluid, blocking off small air lines with pliers, didn't do much.

Also noticed 24% ltft and 46% stft at 2.5k rpm so I'm at about to measure fuel pressure.

Sorry not trying to high jack tread just similar issue

Did you try cleaning the maf sensor first?

Rich code is most often A/F sensor or the MAF sensor. My experience is its usually the A/F sensor because if the MAF sensor is fubar it typically throws a MAF code also - at least most Nissan's do.

The lean side is most often a vacuum or exhaust leak.

But weird places in between do occur.

Along with the above, I would also check the upstream O2 sensors live data and make sure it is switching fast not slow.
