Ithink the US market and Canadian market filters are different. I remember seeing a study on that, when trying to decide what filters to use on my GF's 94 acura integra.
I prefer denso first time fit filters, or nippon ones.
This link, Honda-Fram filter comparison shows the two types of Honda OEM filters and compares them to a stock Fram filter. Honda OEM filters, Filtech and Fram, do have a silicone ADBVs.
One way to tell it's a Fram: look at the base plate.
Another way to tell is to look at the bypass. Plastic button=Fram, metal disk=Toyo Roki or Filtech.
