Genuine Honda filter off my wifes 2018 Honda Fit with 65k on the car. Filter in service for 4,564 miles and 9 months. 0w20 Val EP in the sump during this period.

A Parts Plus PH2876EX went on and 0w20 Val RnP in the sump. Also changed the air and cabin filters with Parts Plus repalcements.

Exactly! I was trying to find the other AC Delco filter (Champ made) that I stumbled across the other day that really showed that issue in greater detail. I can't find it now of course...I tried, ha! It was a perception here that the Fram TG & these other branded champ "Fiber end" filters may seal better & perhaps their is some truth to that but there are some post's showing that it can still be an issue if that spring is bent or ruffled bad enough unfortunately.
