Honda EU2000i

Does this have the compression release for easier starting?

Does it have a low oil sensor that cuts off spark?

My EU2000i is 15 years old, about 900 hours on it. Maintained well with fresh oil and fuel. What is the life expectancy of the belt regarding hours and age? Also is this an interference engine that would bend valves or just shut off with no damage if the belt breaks?

^^^ the 2k is based on Honda’s commercial grade engine. Questions about the belts have come up before but there arent many data points for belt failure. It seems that they hold up a very long time. Ive heard of utility crews using these things in the field with 12000 hours on them. At a thousand hours I’d be more inclined to check the valve lash, fuel lines, rubber bits, wire integrity, and keep on going!
