I been using Regular Pennzoil 5w20 but someone told me this particular oil brand has to much wax that might create wax buildup, is this true?

Iam not a fan of synthetics. Should I use conventinal Valvolonine 5w20? or maybe i should stick with Honda brand?

is Mobil 1 nothing but just synthetics? do they make conventional oil? I herd the conventional Honda Motor oil is made by Mobil 1...Anyways please let me know what you think and excuse my ignorance......

Hey, I've never gotten to say that before!

I'll make it simple: if you believe in Sasquatch, then you should stop using the Pennzoil you're using now.... There's no "wax", and whoever told you that is, well, misinformed...

There's no reason not to like synthetics. They have their advantages, mainly if you like to change your oil less frequently. If you're changing it every 5-7.5K miles or at least once a year, which ever comes first, you'll be fine with what you're using now as long as it's the correct weight. No need to change.

That is a bona fide myth. It has been busted so many times that whoever is still spreading it should get community service and 2 months probation. And a class in Urban Legends.

Pennzoil IMO is one of the finer big brand oils. In fact I believe it is the number one seller in America. Use Pennzoil with confidence or do like I do and use whatever brand name oil that meet your specs is on sale.

I should edit this to say this isn't general advice, but advice for that particular engine. Some engines wouldn't like dino on 5-7.5 in severe service.

I say this because I just had the valve cover off of a CR-V with this motor, and it saw really tough driving habits and long OCI's on dino, and it faired pretty well. That engine is pretty easy on oil.

Mobil has conventional oil. It is Mobil Clean 5000.
Great oil and you can get it at a great price at your local Wal-mart. Try it and see if you like it. It's going in my brothers Neon next OCI.

The story of Pennzoil having wax in it goes way back some 30 years and alot of people have never let it go. It may even go on from generation to generation, father to son. My BIL is one of these people. He is still living in the past.

At one time years back I beleive or, at least have heard tons of stories that Pennzoil may have had some issues(waxy build up) with their oil. This is no longer the case as Pennzoil is one of the best conventional and synthetic oils on the market today. Pennzoil is held in high reguard here at BITOG and other sites as well for it's wonder and consistant, Used Oil Analysis (used oil analysis)

To make a correction, the BULL SHEEEEEEEEEEEEET myth goes back to the early 30's-40's.

Also I do not believe in Bigfoot, so I guess this myth is just full of [censored] now. You guys are right. Pennzoil is been in the market for years and there is a good reason why, because its quality and performance. Thats why its so popular.
I still want to try the Mobil 1 5000 conventional. Like i said before, iam still not a really fan of synthetics, i know synthetics has its advantages but iam fine with changing my oil every 3 or 4 thousand miles. Thank you again and good luck...
