For the CVT, this is new for me and had a few thoughts after seeing vids for CVT oil changes. Does anyone regularly do CVT oil changes on ramps rather than a level car on a hoist? Is it that crucial?
Trying to see what will be my new CVT OCI regiment will be like.

TIA..

don’t you just drain and replace whatever came out volume wise? I don’t think it would matter much especially if the fluid going in is roughly the same temp as the one that came out.

With that said, it’s been a while since I’ve owned a Honda

You want all (4) corners raised up if you want to use the 'level' plug or you can measure what comes out and replace with the same amount. I'd try and do it the 'proper' way at least once just to make sure the factory filled it accurately (98% chance they did, but....).

For our 1.8 Nissan CVT annual service:

- siphon the fluid out of the dipstick tube then jack up on stands

- pull the drain plug, then remove the pan

- remove the inlet screen for inspection and cleaning

- crack loose the valve body

Each of these steps will remove more of the fluid. It's vitally important to keep the pan and magnets clean as the traditional filters are unable to remove enough of the wear metals from the fluid.
