Hey there.
Here is another oil analysis of my brothers car. This FK8 is modified ( 360 ps ,510nm ) by chip , not more. The car is used by dayli drive (2x20 km to work ) short distances and is used by 3 round of Nurburgring Nordschleife. This is only the second engine oil of this car, both times it would be used Honda engine type 2.0 0w20 ( factory fill ).

it’s definitely not the honda motor oil we get here in the states. the ridiculous amount of moly is more in line with a traditional japanese oil like TGMO. VI probably in the 200s

You are absolut right, here in Europe we should only use the Honda engine type 2.0 if we where using 0w20. Only if this is NOT AVAILABLE we can use 0w30/5w30 in acea a5/b5.
I think Honda uses this engine oil because we have no tempo limit and oil changes by all 20000 kilometres and so on…

Now I have Mobil 1 fs 0w40 in it. Next year I will take a oil analysis after the season. There we can see if it is good oder not ..

I’m interested if you have any LSPI with that oil. It has a lot of Ca.

Also high SAPS. Probably going to result in dirtier intake tract.

LSPI is not a problem of k20c1 from Honda. Mobil 1 says that this oil Is formulated for newest direct injection and turbo engines. Manthey Racing Drives this Engine oil only on racetrack for their rsr and gt3 Porsche. The LMP1 drives this engine oil, too. I think it will be functional. This engine ja also no oil consumption, with 0w20 or other viscosities. I am looking good in the future.

Here is a new oil analysis from dayli honda Civic Type r fk8. No racetrack, car will be used to Work 2x20kilometers and Short distances. The viscosity will be now 0W12, but the analysis by iron, Aluminium und cooper Looks very good i think, or?

The original engine oil from Honda 0W20 is filled in. Due to the short distances, the engine oil has suffered greatly and has become a 0W12, without which the wear values have increased significantly. The engine seems very well designed in this respect. I think the values are fine, very minimal additional wear still comes from the retraction of the engine, only the third oil filling.

That is impossible to determine without trend.

This is the second UOA of this car. Another UOA i have for my fk2r , too. The 0w20 looks very good.
