Honda/Acura filter

Hello Everyone, i had been reading this forum for a ong time and always found valuable info!! finally decide to post 1st question!!

my question is, my TSX spec for new smaller Honda filter, but i want to use the non-FRAM filter, I prefer S2000 filter that is made in japan(15400-PCX-004). However the this filter is larger. anyone know if the 15400-PCX-004 will work well in my TSX? also any idea the part # of oil filter that comes with TSX from Japan?

It seems that your car cross references to the 15400-PLM-A02 (or A01). My understanding is that the gasket dimensions, hub threads, and BPV setting are the same. I cannot vouch for the physical size of the larger filter fitting on your car. I don't know what came on the car originally, but perhaps it was one of these part numbers, which also cross reference to the new part number for your filter:
15400-P0H-305 (assembled in USA so not likely)
15400-PLC-004
15400-PT7-005

I think the 15400-PCX-004 is probably the best filter around period. I plan to give it a try on My Miata at the next oil change. Lots of UOA with .2 insolubles using this filter. Cost should be very close to the Pureone PL14459 I am using now. Can be ordered Online for around 6 dollars.
