Honda 2016 CR-T CVT service Interval

JJust bought the wife a 2016 CR-T
want to do fluids but what is the service interval on the trans ,A CVT
car did not come with an owners manual

just curious as my local dealer says bring it in we will take care of it for you

Service interval is ambiguous as Honda wants you to rely only on its Maintenance Minder, unless you frequently drive in low-speed steep terrain, in which case the interval is 20k. I’ve settled on 30k miles.

Cr-t? Do you mean cr-v?

Probably a CRV Touring which is very nice. Change it every 30,000 miles.

Transmission fluid is on the minder. Change it when code 3 pops up. The fluid is amber, like motor oil. Valvoline CVT is a good choice. Amalie's CVT fluids are also good (AAP and Autozone house brands are made by Amalie)

It is VERY easy to change the fluid on a Honda CVT, even easier than changing the oil. A scan tool is not needed.
