A couple of more rounds of super tech hpl combo, and then restore and protect for the rest of its life.

All the debris flowed through the engine unless it was waiting in the oil pan. Not sure it’s wise to disturb debris collected in nonmoving parts? It won’t be all caught by the oil filter and that material that was harmless before, now goes through the bearings.
The media has a lot of holes in it, what does Honda know more to specify this media? Fram aftermarket media has looked very good.

Lucky are the ones whose cars don't have fuel dilution problem. They could run HPL for 15,000 miles. Easy life.

Toyota FJ Cruiser has the bulletproof 4.0L that doesn't suffer from fuel dilution. And the oil filter is right in the engine bay. Perfect candidate for HPL oils.

The media has some spaces in it . No T.Y.. Never know what you'll find in a HONDA filter .

Glorified Fram EG with what looks like less efficient media. May be made by Chanp Labs like some Frams are, and it has a Fram date code.

Why do Honda, Subaru, and maybe Toyota have media with visible holes? Toyota is the best of the three from what I see.
On the other hand it looks like the PG variants have a lot of resin in the media. Should see more fibers. Based on the pictures.
With this much dirt or whatever it is in an engine, it doesn’t seem best to dislodge it. Based on old school advice from the sludged up old engines of days gone by. Leave it alone they would say. Or tear the engine down and clean it.
