4 Tbl grated ginger
1 large lemon sliced thin
2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice (12 to 15 lemons depending on size).
7 cups cold water
1-1/2 cups sugar

Add ginger & sliced lemon to large glass jar. Add sugar. Mash with end of wooden spoon or piece of 1" dia. hardwood dowel or bottom of (clean) M1 10W-30 container until lemons are partially mashed. Add lemon juice, water & stir for several minutes. Taste and add more water and/or sugar to suit your taste.

Serve over ice. As good as it is, it'll be even better the next day. If you don't like pulp, strain it. But not till the next day.
