Swiped a deer last night in my Lexus GX470. Damage very minimal, just a dent running lengthwise from the last bit of the left passenger door to the gas cap, and it is not very deep at all; it runs just below a crest in the body panel(s). Wondering if it’s possible to just pull the dent out - thoughts?? I have large section cups but they don’t attach here. Also - no experience but I have seen the Harbor Freight dent pull kits, etc.

Those "paint-less dent repair" guys are like wizards, so I bet they can get it looking pretty good. Unfortunately, I see the paint is cracked all the way through on the door, so you're not going to get away not painting it.
A good pdr guy could make that almost disappear. I wouldn't try that myself expecting good results there's a lot of trick to it which I don't have. That paint crack is an issue though but if it was mine i'd just clear over it to keep it from peeling and breaking off more.

Cracked paint and likely bent door frame. Glue pulls will make it look better but not like it didn't happen.

I'd try to avoid insurance and try the PDR route as suggested. Door and quarter panel damage will probably be an expensive repair. Any hit on your insurance counts against you these days, comprehensive claim or not.
I'd love a detailed write-up if you do. Maybe there's something I don't know about the GX470 but typically that's substantial body work.

I hear you. Mercifully, my 20 and 21yr/old sons haven't had any accidents or tickets, but including them on my auto policy with my wife and I is just shy of $700/month.
That quarter panel is going to require cutting/welding, if you wanted to replace it vs body filler, so color match is irrelevant at this phase.
If you aren’t a body guy, do not try to do a quarter yourself. That doesn’t even need a panel replacement, regular repair or PDR can fix that. I have a PDR guy that could make that look 99.5%. The small crack in the clear I wouldn’t mess with on an older vehicle, you’ll probably make it worse.

Might as well raise your deductible because it sounds like you want to use your insurance for total loss scenarios only?
If you have the skills needed to replace the quarter panel on that vehicle (any vehicle really) the damage should be popcorn body work to repair.
Smaller area but $200 cash to PDR did this on daughter-in-laws Tucson. Drivers door, gift from parking at train station.
Is that a Chevy fenderwell, I see reflected in that glossy paint?
I have seen what they do with hail damage. That door I showed. My neighbors hood on his 1 month old CX-90 when a branch broke and landed on it.
PDR is an art form with talented artists. Worst case they would look at it and say NO, as not worth their time and possible poor results.
