Hisense Smart TV / Google Parental Controls

Hi folks:

I have a new Hisense TV that I turned on Google Parental Controls. Mainly my kids will use it for gaming. However, with parental controls on, it will not switch to HDMI. (Meaning the kids can't use their gaming device).

Anyone familiar with a setting that I'm missing?

I had trouble even googling it - a ton of extraneous results. I did find one support thread where a guy asked the question - and the response was "I don't think so".
