Google Fi and spare phones

It does not look like the Verizon V50 has 5G on the bands where T-Mobile uses 5G, which are 41 and 71.

That's probably correct. I also have an LG Velvet but it's not on the list of compatible phones for Fi. Although now I'm tempted to give it a try.😉

I now tried to use the Google Fi sim in my favorite phone... LG Velvet 5G. It's an unlocked T-Mobile version. It works perfectly and I get 5G. I might switch from the Pixel 7A...not sure. I'm pretty sure the issue was using the correct email and Google account.
Although, the Pixel 7a is designed to work completely seamless with Google Fi...and it does. Only issue is Google Assistant and Bluetooth functionality in my 2016 Lexus Rx350. All other aspects of Bluetooth work fine in the car. I don’t have that issue with the LG Velvet though.
I will likely sell the LG V50 Verizon variant though. Three backup phones are more than adequate!
