Im not much of a hiker - I’m more of a trail runner.
But, at almost exactly this time in 2017 (few days after Thanksgiving), my cousin and I hiked Pikes Peak, and the Merrell Pulsate was my choice (it seems it was a version of their famous Moab hiking boot that was sold by certain retailers exclusively; I got mine at ****’s Sporting Goods for around $120). It seems now they have the “Pulsate II”. I’d try that or the Moab on.
They’re the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. Requiring no break-in, they immediately felt as comfortable as a high-end running shoe. I tried several different brands on, and they were the most comfortable, and they served me well hiking Pikes Peak! Still have them and really like them.
