Would you really trade 1 or 2 horsepower for engine longevity? If you are racing and are seeing higher oil temperatures you definitely need an oil with a higher HTHS over the recommended one for the engine. Someone would feel really foolish if they destroyed an engine just for a very slight difference on the track.
 
Looks great for ~6 mos/4K and 3 track days where the oil temp was sitting around 270 deg F the entire weekend (I estimate about 3 hours of actual driving). 10/10 recommend. Will keep it in and push the whole year on it so 5 more track days and probably 4-5K more miles. 13.11 cSt is fantastic (assuming that is right). Metals dropped which is great, I did swap out intake pieces in an attempt to fix a possible leak/dust in my intake tube shown by a spike in wear metals last change (assuming/made the most sense as to why). Note I did add a ~1/2 qt so a small % of more fresh oil here.

I have done 5 track days since my last post in this thread. One at Summit Point, WV Shenandoah circuit and 4 at VIR. Added a bit more power using the high pressure fuel pump from the 2.0 MK7 and a revised tune so now sitting just shy of 400hp at the crank - car rips at >200hp/L....I can keep up with Caymans around VIR. Here's a few videos that I have posted on my YouTube channel....look around my channel and find a bunch from the last week from the 4 days I just did (there's a great one with some bad language showing some mayhem so can't post the link but it's worth checking out! Well here it is...BS was pretty quick this time, only a few weeks which is excellent (to me) - maybe they read this forum and saw all the fussing/issues folks were having. So this one is interesting. This is HPL Euro 5W40 changed out in Jan 2024 and has 8.4K miles on it and 8 track days which should be around 10-12 hours with oil temps at 260-280 deg F. It's been beat on. A few issues I had were that I did note that my air filter had come off when I was doing all my annual maintenance so not sure how long that had been like that and that is the likely source of some of the up-tick in...

First autocross of the season with my club. Fun and I'm getting a little better each time. My 4th in the last 2 years.

 
What I do to HPL oil is nothing, because I wrote them a long convoluted but still vaguely oil-related question asking them whether they'll do me the honor in guiding me on which exactly product of theirs to spend my money, using the question form on their site, and never heard back. I wonder if I managed to saturate the form or something.
