So i was trying to replace the very very small 2721 glass light bulbs in my cars climate control today. There are a few that seem very stuck in the base from what i believe is age related as the car is 38 years old. Anyway one of the bulbs crumbled and the glass base of the bulb is stuck flush in the plastic light fixture. How might i go about removing the bulb without damaging the fixture?

Agree with oldhp, metal picks like you can buy to clean a gun. Make sure the socket is cold.

There's actually a special tool for bulbs.

YMMV. I remember trying these and not getting anywhere, but I can't really remember how I got my stuck bulb out.

I think I did end up using a pick like others suggested.

As others have said, try a small pick and take your time picking it out. With that said, if you go at it with a pick, put on some safety glasses just in case a piece comes flying out towards your face. 😉🍻
