Help me choose oil in Australia

I'm not a big fan of M1 TDT. Delvac 1 is a better oil, and is also rated API SL, so it can be run in gasoline engines.

Valvoline Synpower HST 5w40 would be excellent if you can find it. It's an ACEA A3/B3/B4 oil with a lot of European manufacturer approvals.

I would use TDT over 0W-40 that somehow became the darling on here. I suspect Delvac-1 is just as good or better that TDT that we get in the states, I would use Delvac-1 in this vehicle in question, I suspect it is available on the prison island and I bet it can not be beat performance wise.

So you guys think I should use Delvac then ?

I was either going to use shell Helix or Delvac.

I just went to buy some Delvac.

I can't believe how hard it is to get. Nobody stocks it.Nobody.

Looks like its going to be Shell Helix then.

Helix is a world class oil. Sorry to hear about the delvac if I had known it is that bare bones of an oil selection I would have said just to buy whatever you find!

Thanks, I thought Delvac would be common and everybody would stock it. I went everywhere this morning and nobody stocks it.
I wonder why?

I got a bottle of Shell helix ultra instead.

I get it from the local Mobil agent who sells their industrial range from his workshop on consignment.

I've never seen it on the shelf.
