Help me choose a new Starter...

Seems like the starter is on it's way out. The condition is sometimes when you turn the key to start, it sounds like it engages but does not spin for s split second before it takes off and starts. Most of the time it starts with no problem. The application is a 2000 Dodge Durango with 4.7L. It's been in the family for many years. I assume it's the original starter. Mileage is 170k. Probably don't "need" a starter to last 100k plus miles but want reliability and no hassles in the meantime.

Help me decide on these available choices:

Dodge Dealer
2000-2004 Mopar OEM R6028715AD - Discontinued

Napa
1) NAPA Power Premium - $140.29, after core - Lifetime Warranty
2) NAPA New Rotating - $196.99, no core - Lifetime Warranty

O’Reilly Auto Parts
1) Ultima Remanufactured - $137.99, after core - Limited Lifetime Warranty

Auto Zone
1) Duralast - $134.99, after core - Limited Lifetime Warranty

RockAuto
1) BBB INDUSTRIES - $45.99, no core - 3 years/36,000 miles
2) REMY - $50.99, after core - 1 year
3) PURE ENERGY - 61.99, after core - 1 year
4) FVP - $59.89, after core - Limited Lifetime Warranty
5) ACDELCO Gold - $79.79, after core - 24 Months
6) WAI GLOBAL (NEW) - $102.79, no core - Limited Lifetime Warranty
7 REMY (NEW) - $105.89, no core - Limited Lifetime Warranty

With RockAuto I'll do a 5% discount code plus it appears to be $10.99 for shipping and then whatever it costs to ship the core if applicable.

Suggestions?

I got a advanced auto alternator there lifetime warrenty one a few years ago because I could not wait.
Normally I would buy rock auto but it has been good so far

Local parts stores are overpriced because they figure you're desperate for a starter if you're shopping for one.

I +2 the Remy from RA. Put your old one on a shelf in case you have to swap it back years from now.

I've been rocking cheap new gear-reduction starters from later model years on my 85 dodge 318 and 91 Ford 351W. No issues, they're great.

All the parts store remans are either BBB or Remy remans. New is from a Chinese supplier or WAI who also reboxes Chinesium.

I’d go new or reman from your favorite chain parts store. Warranty will be easier but you’re paying retail.

Nothing but local rebuilder for me, except on my Oldsmobile I got a powermaster xs mini starter from summit as it's very close to the headers and the previous 307 starter (smaller than the original 350 starter) got cooked.

Me as well. I’m lucky enough to have a great auto electric place that is local, uses quality parts, and can do the work quickly if needed.

Here it is...

Ordered on the 15th. Shipped on the 16th. Received on the 20th.

"Product of China". Not really surprised. Wonder if it really is a reboxed WAI GLOBAL?
