Help desk line of the year

It's early, but 2009 is looking like it's going to be a 'doosey' if you have to work with a central help desk.

A ticket was opened by moi for a different group to help an end user with their software last week. This morning, I get this delivered to my Inbox: "Ticket closed. Could not reproduce problem".

That's it.

End-user never contacted by that group (of course), problem still exists (of course) killing the person's workflow, and the workflow of that person's area.


ARRGHHH! I loathe the first full week back after the Christmas/New Year's holidays!!!!

Dont you just love it? I've had numerous tickets re-assigned back to me after submitting it. The reason I submitted it in the first place was that I do not have access to fix/troubleshoot that particular issue!

I'm just funnin'... Customer service everywhere has become so terrible now... I like to do everything I can online and only enter banks, or use telephone support if absolutely necessary and only if GOOGLE can't find me the answer, which is rare! hehehe

So sad that "Google that S**T" has become part of the dictionary...

Glad to have it though... I wonder if the CIA uses it?

At least there was a 'reason'. Once I opened a ticket for a messed up VPN access. The case lingered for about a month without anything being done and then was closed. The policy is that cases should not stay open that long so whoever had the case simply closed it. So I had to escalate it...

sure, ya'll just tell him to change the filter and switch to the YB.
