Hearing aids

like everything PREVENTION is better than treating after something happens!! YOU are a smart person!!

Timely, my GP thought it was getting close to have my hearing checked again.

I’m lucky my hearing is pretty sensitive. I’m around commercial airliners as my job. Been in aviation since 2002. Always wear ear plugs and ear muffs. Don’t listen to very loud music.
Glad you saved yours. My father in law had his hearing ruined while being a crew chief for B52 planes in the Air Force in 60’s. At the VA pays for hearing aids.

Be extremely careful. My aunt was in a pharmacy to pick up a prescription where they had someone approach her for a free hearing evaluation. She fell for it and was given 2 hearing aids to try out with a 30 day money back guarantee if she didn't like them.

The hearing aids gave her TINNITUS. She didn't need the hearing aids and she now deals with ringing in her ears every waking moment.
TBH I think that in-ear noise cancelling headphones do that to some extent too. I feel like I’m on the verge of some ear ringing if I use them too much…

loud music as well as a loud construction job + of course lack of protection compromised my hearing, my fault BUT i still hear half decent IF the voice is not too quiet + EXPLICIT + NOT accented like MANY foreign agents taking phone calls!! i am a vet but friends that got them from the VA note they are poor + help little

Well I finally got my hearing aids last week. VA bought them. Surprised how expensive these things are. Discovered my new superpower is hearing what people are thinking so becareful.

I can even hear that annoying hemi tick from the neighbor's Ram across the street.

keep thinking about them, always getting MD Hearing mail + a local ear guy advertises constantly!! i am a vet as well. a friend got a set from the VA years ago + could NOT use them!! glad yours work for you as they prolly get better with newer tech!!
