Headlight/turn signal/cruise control combo switch alternative for 95 Skylark

The switch on mine won't cancel after a left turn. Apparently only 1994-95 models take the same switch so they are $80-$100 new and nothing in the junk yards around here. Any reason the 1994-95 Grand Am/Achieva switches for under $30 wouldn't work? Looks identical except the stalk doesn't have the circular grooves.

Are you going to sell the car or keep it to drive? Is there an airbag? Would a drop of oil in the right spot free a sticky widget if it was exercised a little?

I had the thing apart 3 times and couldn't get it to work right. Internal bits are just worn out.

I doubt the steering column is different from other N-bodies, so it's probably just cosmetic. Just a guess...
