Not terribly expensive - can anyone comment on how thin-walled they are?

I've had thin walled plastic covered sockets break on me from using a breaker bar to loosen the lug bolt.

I just use normal impact sockets. If I want to, I'll wrap it with a layer of electrical tape to protect the wheel paint

With the plastic sleeve about the same thickness as a regular impact socket. I never ran into any fitment issues.
Upon further research, it looks like the Snap-On ones might be a better choice if the sleeve is not a concern:

Hazet 903SLG-21: 30mm (socket end diameter)
Snap-On SIMMF21A: 28.6MM (socket end diameter)

Hazet 903SLG-19: 30MM (socket end diameter)
Snap-On SIMMF19A: 26.2MM (socket end diameter)

Geez, I thought these were assorted 10 or 12 gauge shot shells at first glance. In my state, I’d get arrested for possession of them in my car and let the judge decide what they really are.

I understood the sleeve was the reason for buying them, if you just want a thinner wall impact there are plenty of those.

I'll be odd man out here. I bought the sleeved impact sockets from HF, they work well, and aren't too thick. I did crack the plastic sleeve on one of them took it back to the store and walked out with a new socket.

You are not the only one !
I was looking for a set years ago.

Astro brand and others looked exactly like the HF sockets so I got those. Mine say Taiwan made, CRo-mo.
