Trust but verify. TireRack sent out the HTC5042 rear rotor set but Hawk had an mis-shipment. Now I have to wait 4 - 6 weeks for a Hawk drop shipment. Double check before starting installation.

Always theses days -- Double check before starting installation.

Only in the last few years has this been a problem in my experience.

TireRack sent the return label for tomorrow’s FedEx pickup. I will be lucky to get them installed by Halloween. I did Ceramalube the Powerstop Z23 pad backs, ears, stainless hardware and silicone paste the caliper pin boots. The independent garage will be very happy. Lol

I’m not a Hawk fan. I got a bad set of pads, where one wore at 5 times the rate of the other and spewed enough dust and metal crap to cause damage to the finish of the wheels on the Tundra.

Here is how they looked when I pulled the front wheel - and no, the calipers were fine before, and fine after.

The EBC brake pads that replaced the Hawk have worn evenly.

I will never buy Hawk again.

Tried Hawk, didn't like their pads or rotors. Found something much better. Bosch Quietcast pads and rotors. VERY low dust and excellent grabbing. Rotors haven't warped out yet either. Going on 8k, no problems. Rotors are coated for the salt belt.

I use sometimes their track pads. They do the job, but at double rate of dust and noise as others.
