I've got 10 bottles of Havoline oil for free (after coupon) few months ago. I learned from people's experience that it is rich in Moly and a good package overall. I run two consecutive 5k km OCIs on it and pulled the sample at the end.
Wear numbers are good, but the absence of Moly really surprised me. I expected this sample to be quite different. I'm not even sure what to think of it at this point.

I used 4quarts of GF-3 SL 5w50 and 1/2 quart of GF-4 SM 10w30 at this last sample.

Amsoil filter, grandpa driving style, about 50/50 city/highway. Test is done by Wearcheck Canada. I think now it is clear that they use 200% scale for Oxidation numbers for synthetic oils.

Also, where the Sulphur is coming from?

What do you all think?

OK, now I've got the message that Havoline SL breed did not have much Moly. Good to know!
What's with Sulfur though?

Bingo! RedLine SI-1, maintenance dose in every tank. And yes, I've read somewhere that it increases Sulfur levels. Gotta stop this habit then.
Thanks Ray! BTW, how bad is Sulfur in the oil, what harm does it do?
