I am not sure about Oxidation - they do have TBN. Maybe this is something to ask? I will try to find the brochure to what tests are performed at what location. The Cleveland branch has the most capabilities, I believe.

I use polaris myself. They’re local, reputable, reaonably priced, and have good apps and website.
Very interesting. Can you pick which lab? I'm partial to Polaris.
If you don't get oxidation, I wouldn't waste my money. Easiest way for Polaris is Oil Analyzers through AMSOIL. @Pablo can hook you up with some kits at preferred pricing if you ask nicely. You used to be able to get Wearcheck through HPL.
The first link has you contact your local Chevron rep & they'll get you in contact with the lab. Usually whichever is closest to you but they'd likely work with you if there's a preference.
I like the idea of using chevron, since it's readily available at parts stores & free shipping to the house. My truck has SN Plus rating (Or Later) but unsure of the Lincoln. Thats besides the point lol.
I will give the Delo a shot in the ram and see how it likes it, and maybe bump up to HPL? How long would you run it and take the first sample? 5K?
I still get Wearcheck through HPL. Think I have 3 kits left.
I’d sample at 4500 ish on the first OCI so you know whether to drain at 5k or keep it until 10k or whatever OCI you want to use.

The effects of different oil choices are seen over 10s of thousands of miles. Your engine isn't going to sigh contentedly when you start it up the first time on a new oil that will be good for it long term, so you won't know if you're making a good choice. That's why you have to make a good decision based on facts and pick it and stick with it.

The 10 pack of Polaris kits gets me oxidation for $30/sample. I can get ferrous density even for only $4/kit

I want an oil that can have superb cleaning and wear protection through a full OLM on both of my vehicles.
- My Ram has 6.5k miles on it, still breaking in - wanting to keep it clean.
- Wife's car has 80K - ran a few OCI of Valvoline Restore and Protect - looking for that full OLM coverage that can still clean and handle the Fuel Dilution I mentioned earlier.
The HPL/Wearcheck kits are $35/ea. You need to ask for oxidation if it's a VOA but comes standard on UOA. No additional charge for adding it to the VOA.

Personally I'd use up the Delo you have for short interval changes while breaking in. Then I'd go to HPL 15W-40 PCMO based on your climate and the universal excellent experience with it. (NB: Hohn drove to Wisconsin in the winter on this oil and had no issues, so you will be fine in Atlanta even with the rare snowpocalypse.)
One of HPL's largest fleets (maybe largest?) uses it in Ecoboost pickups in horrible use conditions. Lots of idling. High heat. Lots of WOT. They flog the oil and still run 15,000 mile OCIs. I'd use it but it would take me years and years to put that many miles on it.
