My Accord specs 0w-20 and is loving the HPL 15w-40. Don’t be afraid of a bit higher KV100. Especially in any vehicle prone to or known for dilution.
If you like the Chevron products I wouldn’t be afraid to use the Delo 400 XSP in 15w-40. It has gasoline ratings up to SN Plus, so that means LSPI protection and timing chain testing. Indeed, I have a couple gallons in my stash waiting for their own time to shine.
Especially in Hotlanta, I’d be all over the gas-rated 15w-40 options out there if the gasoline ratings was fairly current— SN Plus, SP, etc.
EDIT TO ADD: The Delo 400 XSP in 15w-40 has 1100ppm phosporus (ZDDP) and HTHS of 4.1. The TBN is 10 and it sounds to me like a pretty solid 40 grade option that just happens to carry many diesel certs.
