How come it's in the same area the diesel rating ck-4?
I think it used to be ck-4/SNAll it means is this oil is dual rated for diesel (preferably) and gasoline (API SP).
I don't think so. It's always had the gas rating tooNot sure about Delvac, but when many of the brads switched over to CI-4 PLUS, they dropped the Gasoline rating. I was under the impression that was the case here and they just now added said rating.
I used to use 5w40 rotella when it was SN, but like you said, it no longer carries spark rating, so I do not use. Not sure if it still SN, or not, but it does not says it is.Not sure about Delvac, but when many of the brads switched over to CI-4 PLUS, they dropped the Gasoline rating. I just wonder if it's still good in my old cummins flat tappet 5.9 cumminsObviously now it’s CK-4/sp![]()
I’d say try it for say 4-5k and make note of any changes or issues. All I can tell you.I just wonder if it's still good in my old cummins flat tappet 5.9 cummins
