The car is a 2003 Corolla, bought new from the dealer. Does anyone have a good AC cleaner & deoderizer that will work by squirting it down the vents?

How about a general interior deoderizer - best if it could restore that "new car smell". FYI, I use 303 on the interior.

Thanks for your help. Bill R

You should still be in warranty, check with your dealer as most manufacturors have issued service notes relating to this problem. The problem is mold growth on the front of the AC evap coil and you can't get to it thru the dash vents. Its is caused by shutting down the car with AC running and leaveing moisture on the coil, being in south Fla thats going to be a real problem. You can help by turning off the AC compressor and running the fan few minutes before you shut down.

The dealer should help, I have sprayed Lysol through the outside windshield air vents while running the a/c until it comes out the interior vents then shut it off and let it sit. Repeat as needed. Before BG came out with Frigi Fresh I know my local Honda dealer used Lysol this same way as mid 90's Accords were infamous for musty smelling a/c systems.
