To buy a junker and use it to ruin other peoples day?

There is an intersection near my work that has left turning arrows. The NB left turn traffic has a green then when their light goes red the EB left turn gets a green.

Every time I get my green I will see NB traffic flying towards the red light and I can tell that they are going to run the light so I must wait or get in a wreck.

I'd like to buy something like a 72 Buick Electra station wagon and the next time I see a red light runner and I have a green I'd pull out in the old Buick and let them smash up their car.

I've wished that, then quickly decided it's not worth the time/expense/effort. Although it would be funny as all get out a few months later when you're done with the lawyers and the bills.

Oh yea! Or pull a Fried Green Tomatoes (it's an older movie) stunt where someone steals a parking place from you, so you just back up and ram the [censored] out of their car!

I have that wish every time I have to slam on the brakes because someone runs the yield sign by my house. Worse yet, it's usually kids laughing as they do that.

No witnesses needed once the police show up. With an intersection where one has a yield and the other one has the right of way, it'd be obvious who's at fault.

As my car gets much older and towards the end of its life, I do cop an attitude. When people try to cut in just ahead of me, you get the Clint Eastwood feeling, "Go ahead, make my day". No life threatening situations, just one of life's small pleasures.

Many, many years ago I had a beater 65 Mercury Comet. One day as I parked in the grocery parking lot this rich lady in her big Caddy pulled in next to me and when the threw her door open it hit my car. She gave me this look of, why are you parked next to me. I politely went around to the right side of my car and proceeded to open and close my right door as hard and as fast as I could in to her Caddy. She had this startled look on her face and I told her, see there, you don't like it anymore than I do when someone hits your car door. Went in, bought my groceries and left.

If there was a red-light camera installed in that intersection, you'll not see anything like that again.

Years ago, I had my 1981 VW Rabbit Diesel, with something around 300K miles on it by my estimate as the odometer stopped working a long time before.

Anyway, I get to a restaurant on a Friday night and someone with a new F-body, IIRC, was parked in two spots near a landscaping island to his drivers side as he was backed in.

However, there was enough room that I could get the Rabbit backed in there also, leaving me the island to exit my car. However, he was one coat of new paint from touching my vehicle. It was a good thing his mirror was lower than mine or he never would have gotten out.

I got a seat near the window and watched him get in the passenger side, climb over and then wait for his date to get in, and finally slowly and carefully try to get out without making contact.

If you are going to take up two space, don't be shocked that some will want to use one if you are near the door and there are no other spaces in the parking lot on a Friday night.

I didn't have my Santa Fe 3 days and someone dinged it up and drove off as I was walking to my car. It was only a plastic molding on my passenger side door but that wasn't the point.

If I had done that by an accident I would leave a note for the person with my information so we could arrange terms to have it repaired as I did when I first learned to drive and accidentally scraped the bumper on the car I pulled into beside.

The guy called me and told me he was thankful I left him the note and because of such he decided not to fix it at my cost because I did the right thing.

Chris, I could see how you would want to do that, sometimes I feel this way.

If I had a penny for every time I had a similar thought, this post would be about having made it a reality...

2 trains leave Nashville, one gets up to speed of 60mph in 60 minutes. the second train leaves out when the first train is at 60 mph. The second train is running at 88 ft/second, what time will the second train overtake the first train. Note: the second train has Marvel Mystery Oil mixed in with the oil can of 80wt oil on the main driver.

How about calling the police and telling them of this dangerous intersection? Maybe they can give out tickets for a while to hopefully improve the situation.

LOL This intersection is less than 1/4 mile from the police station. Our cops are too busy chasing kids in the desert on dirt bikes and sleeping under the trees behind Big Lots to mess with Red light runners.

Call them from a pay phone and tell them that maybe they should wake up the cops who are sleeping behind big lots so that people don't get killed at this intersection.
