I've only shopped at Harbor Freight Tools once, but I loved it (it's a man's toy store as one of the other techs in the shop says). He's a huge fanatic of the place and the customers there seemed to think they are good tools as well.

My question is this: Is anyone here an Inside Track member and do they think it is worth it? I am planning on buying a $400 bottom roller cart from there (and eventually getting a $300 top box for it as well).

Thanks,
Techniker

It can be a good deal if you buy a lot from there, but I doubt it.

HF and good do not belong in the same sentence.

I went on the Sears site through mrrebates.com and they had a toolbox for 50% off. I didn't check further as I have a 5' Sears box, but it seemed like a good deal.

I'm an ITC member, and it isn't worth it at all. I've never received any ITC coupons that were useful and relatively few of their coupons cover things like tools... most are for decorative garden gnomes or solar powered walkway lights.

No not worth it. I admit HF is a guilty pleasure of mine and some of their tools are indispensable to me (vacuum pump, AC gauges, Earthquake impacts, compressor, freon sniffer, 300 lb torque wrench and a few other things) but most of the store is junk. Also you can print out a 20% off coupon online anytime though HF has limited that coupon to not include jacks, tool boxes compressors and other big ticket items. Also HF have been slowly raising their prices assuming the masses will not care.

Now that there is a profound statement not taking into account the devalued dollar, the increase in fuel to get product here and to the stores, and other factors regarding our economy. Very profound indeed.

Regarding the Inside Track being worth it or not-- Nah. Just use the coupons and sale ads.
