Huge difference between Belichick and Harbough. Belichick has fingers filled with rings, Harbough has zero.Harbaugh is the King of Arrogance. He makes Bill Belichick seem like a saint.
apparently sign stealing is fine, but stealing the signs in the manner in which the Wolverine's accomplished it is a nono.I thought sign stealing was part of the game. Hard to believe it's frowned upon.
Huge difference between Belichick and Harbough. Belichick has fingers filled with rings, Harbough has zero.
Belichick is a closer--- Harbough is not and should go home and play with his kids.
Coffee is for closers only, Belichick gets coffee. Harbough gets hot cocoa.
Very few if anyone has had as many opportunities in sports as Jim Harbough, yet he can't close.I don't know if I would say Harbaugh is unsuccessful. He was an accomplished College QB, and accomplished Pro GQB, an accomplished college coach, and accomplished NFL coach and he's back to being an accomplished College coach at his alma mater.
it is worth saying Bellichick might not have any rings if it wasn't for a certain player that isn't on his team anymore.
Very had to find anyone in college or professional sports, both as a player and head coach in both, with a basket full of "ONE SHOTS" time and time again and failed to close each and every time.
PSU was highly ranked. Probably going to go down.As usual PSU forgot to show up as usual. Don't really need a head coach when playing PSU. We are not getting what we are paying for.
24-15 ? If it was 54-15, yeah, you could say it motivated them. This is the worst game they've had this season, albeit probably the best team they've faced so far too.if you watched today's game, it appears that all suspending Harbaugh accomplished was to fire the Wolverine's up.
the Wolverines did not exactly try to trick PS's defense in the 2nd half did they... what was it, something like 30 straight run plays? Tactic seemed to be burn up the clock and dare PS to score one touchdown..24-15 ? If it was 54-15, yeah, you could say it motivated them. This is the worst game they've had this season, albeit probably the best team they've faced so far too.
A 9 point win against a top 10 team on their field feels like a solid win.24-15 ? If it was 54-15, yeah, you could say it motivated them. This is the worst game they've had this season, albeit probably the best team they've faced so far too.
**** Vermeil is one.I'm having a hard time thinking of anyone who was a good player at all levels and also a head coach at both pro and college level who fits the scenario you describe.
maybe Don Shula as he was both a pro player and a successful NFL coach, but his is without a college coaching pedigree that I know of..
so if the only criteria is Super Bowl rings, well Bellichik is the man... and he has something in common with Harbaugh because they both have the cheating allegations in their history.![]()
Noteball paragraph on Coach Vermiel:Here's one: Richard Vermiel.
I was thinking both as a succesful player and head coach.**** Vermeil is one.
I think Mike has super bowl rings as a player, a assistant coach, and a head coach. But going from memory so I could very well be off.I was thinking both as a succesful player and head coach.
I just thought of Mike Ditka just now..
he was known as Iron Mike when he played for the Boys.
I think Mike has super bowl rings as a player, a assistant coach, and a head coach. But going from memory so I could very well be off.
How many Super Bowl rings does Mike Ditka have?he was a player in the pre super bowl era, but he may have championship rings, maybe not... seems the Packers won every year between 59 and 67 if memory serves correctly.
I don't think Harbaugh has a Super Bowl ring, although he did coach a losing effort in one.
anyway, it is a rare thing for a good player to make it as a head coach... one of those perfect examples of " those that can't do, teach".
Forrest Gregg also comes to mind, he was a great player( Packers) as well as a losing Super Bowl coach.( Bengal's)
yeah, I just went and looked.. you posted while I was responding..How many Super Bowl rings does Mike Ditka have?
three-
He was an NFL champion with the 1963 Bears and is a three-time Super Bowl champion, playing on the Cowboys' Super Bowl VI team, winning as an assistant coach for the Cowboys in Super Bowl XII, and coaching the Bears to victory in Super Bowl XX. He was named to the NFL's 75th- and 100th-Anniversary All-Time Teams.
