Handicapped or entitled? Not returning shopping cart

I gotta say - no dust will collect on a basket at our HEB - it’s one of the few places still hiring young folks - and they keep the lot clear !

HEB gets great reviews. And that’s an understatement. Reported a very honorable and quality organization.

Was at King Soopers ( a Kroger owned chain)this weekend. Every “deal” is a trick. Electronic coupon for this deal, shoppers card for that deal. Low quality steaks in the very nicest of packages, with names like “prime signature”. Those prime signature steaks would pass as choice. Felt like I needed a shower after shopping at King Soopers.

Hope a Kroger, Albertsons or the like never buys them out..

One of our guys from Louisiana is on a one year assignment in Houston. They just rave about HEB and even surprised by the Louisiana crawfish … Told him they must have brought a mating pair west bcs they have massive ponds 25 miles from me 😷

I have to confess that I did not read this whole post but I’d like to share my experience with people who don’t return their shopping carts. I’m ok watching older people or parents with kids leave their carts. But not some healthy 20s young man doing it. I was walking out of the supermarket and see this young man unload his cart into his trunk and then push it to the side. I watch him get into his car. I quickly grab the cart and pull it behind his car and walk off. A few seconds later I hear a loud crunch. I keep walking and wonder if he ever got the message??

How is requiring a loyalty card and downloading coupons to it a "trick"?
Do you avoid using airline and hotel loyalty memberships on your frequent travels?

Super markets use shoppers card to get data. That's how they can offer "suggestions just for you". I'm not saying it's good-or bad. It is what it is.
When you don't understand something -"it's a trick". The cards can be physical or digital.
