Halvoline Synthetic 5-30

Recently got an oil change done and they were out of M1. Went with the Halvoline 5-30 and I haven't heard much of it. Anyone use this stuff?

Used it for the last several years in my wife's Xj8, and my GTO.

Also used the 10/30 without incident.

Used it (API SL version) several times in my wife's old '97 Expedition. It's very good oil, as far as I'm concerned.

The VOA is quite different than regular Havoline SL. No or little Moly. It has Vette specs, A5 too. I'm using it (again) just because.

I bought about 80 quarts of this stuff when Advance Auto Parts had it on closeout for 49 cents.

To be honest, its no better than Havoline dino.

I have nothing good to add to the conversation but it's funny how some portions of the country have certain oils and some don't. For instance, Adv. Auto had havoline synthetic a few years ago but doesn't now. Nor does Wal Mart, Orielly's, Autozone, Pep Boys, Napa or anywhere else. So I've never seen the 'new' Deposit Sheild Havoline Synthetic bottles in real life, just on their website. Anyways...

Local Michels Tire Store has Havoline as the house oil.

I've got the synthetic blend in my Lumina right now after some recent service work there.

I'd sure use it for .49 cents a quart and change it out at 3000 miles.
