Didn't Amsoil talk about the reason they weren't API certified was because the cost was so high? Maybe getting the starburst is an additional cost on top of the API certification. I've been looking at G-Oil's financial statements as a potential future investment and they are extremely financially strapped and unless revenue continues to grow substantially probably won't be able to stay in business. Therefore i'm concluding that there is a strong possibility that beyond the standard API certification, G-Oil can't afford to get certified for anything else at this time.

im not real sure but that does make sense. i hear oil companies have to pay big money to get their oils certified for manufacturer specs, like dexos
