Today, I drove pass AAP and brought 10 Quarts of 5w30 Havoline with 2 Purolator classic filter on special for $30. I've just changed my oil last month with MaxLife which will probably last for another 3months. I also have a 6 quart of MaxLife, 7 quarts of PYB, 1 quart of Castrol, 1 quart of MaxLife. That's 8 oil changes or 2+ years worth of oil for my camry. All of my friend/family either prefer the local lube places or uses a different weight oil.

Am I the only 1 hoarding so many oil for myself?

You have a problem that I can only see one cure to be known at this time, and mind you this has been a problem for many decades since the dinosaurs dedicated their bodies to make our life either easier, or much more hectic... you decide by the way it's also debatable if the fossil fuels deep within the earth came from the decade remains of flesh/dinosaurs !!

OK onto the cure, send me at least half of the accumulated oil you have, and for this cure to work don't send me the stray/singles.. you must send me to the top end of the stash, and as for your own self portrayal keep the oil filters so that you can look back on, and reflect your obsession.

Okay, I guess I don't have a problem after all for now.

But for those who has 100+quart stashes, how long does it take you to build it? and is there a specify reason behind such a huge stash other than it's on sale and I want it?

Not to worry, now you've got plenty of oil to change the oil in your lawnmower, gas generators, gas pressure washer, motorcycle.... and your car.

A few years ago, Autozone had a killer Mobil 5000 five quart + oil filter special, IIRC it was $7.99. I went back every day for a solid week and bought my max '2 deals' per day. I had about 90 quarts of Mobil 5000. It consumed my life...lol.

It took about 1.5 years to rid the Mobil 5000. I change the oil in my cars (sometimes I own up to 4 vehicles), some of my friends and family. They, of course, give me whatever I tell them I paid for the oil & filter. Either way, it sounds like it took forever to use all of that oil, but it went really fast!!

I have about 38.5 quarts and 16 filters. Trying to get up to BITOG status. I guess I'm still in single A minor league.

A small problem: You paid too much for conventional oil. You should add to your oil and filter reserve only when the price is so low, such as $1/qt Valvoline Synpower or $2/qt M1 or $1/qt PP or $3/qt PU. My preferred price for conventional oil is $0.50/qt or FAR.

Not too long ago I bought three cases of M1 5w30 because it was on sale for $26 a case. I also thicken it with 15w50, so purchased enough of it to match the oil on my shelf. That's enough to cover a year of oil changes on both of my cars, an LS1 GTO and V8 Jag S-type. I wouldn't call it weird, just smart purchasing oil on sale.

We all have a problem, isn't that sort of the point of this?

You have no idea.........

I'm now starting to stash ATF. Wife said 'no more oil'. Me: 'no problem'.

What did she think the 3 car garage was for anyway?
