This. It goes a long way with people to show that you respect their stuff and appreciate that they lent it to you. Years ago my grandfather lent my uncle his lawn mower. My uncle hit a big rock and needless to say he bent the crankshaft and returned it broken. My grandfather rarely lent out any tools since then, and its understandable why.

Before I bought my rototiller we needed to till the garden. I recently changed the oil on his commercial mower so he thought I was able enough to use his rototiller. After I borrowed it I changed the oil, gave it a tune-up, and washed it. He was so impressed that it looked like new that now he insists I can borrow anything I need.

I'm really glad that others besides myself think this way. I volunteer to help out a family friend with any of his various broken down cars and OPE, just because I hurts to see decent equipment in such poor shape. It took a little while to convince him to let me assist, but now he's more than willing to bring things over.

I even replaced the broken tail lights and wiring on his trailer the last time we borrowed it to show him that I'm more than capable.

^^^ did the same thing with a flatbed lent to me from my boss. Bolted down the loose boards, shimmed and bolted parts that rattled, and repaired the lights-- all just sweat equity and $0.50 work of fasteners. after that it's been back to my house several times...

Are you freaking joking? Troll alert. Rotella T6, and many other syns do just fine with a wet clutch. Just don't be a dolt and put a resource conserving PCMO in a bike. Synthetic or not.
