I bought the 2X Bottle of Gumout REGANE "Complete Fuel System and Injector Cleaner" for the T-Bird that is getting up there in Mileage. I LIKE IT! WOW! Seems my MMO and all other apps DONT have what REGANE did.. I want to hit it with another shot but i think im gonna put Chevrol Techron ProGard Plus (the one that says Plus) in to see if my Fuel Gauge will be helped. Got a nice low Tank!

I now wonder if i should even put the Redline SL-1 in

I know i have used MMO and other Cleaners like SeaFoam and B-12 however Regane seems to make a difference i can FEEL and it is such a small bottle, i am Impressed!

Now i debate the Redline SL-1 Or 2nd App of Gumout REGANE, or even "Leave it alone," or perhaps add 2oz MMO every 10 gallons just before putting In the 10 Gallons, im about to read that thread "MMO - Im a Believer" I use a Mix of gas i go between Name and No-Name, i am all over the place.

Has anyone else felt -noticeable- smoother from a Bottle of 2X Concentrated REGANE? Is that the 55% PEA?

This is the 96 T-Bird I am most impressed about how this stuff does not take out a Fuel Filter, this car shares the stupid Pump design with Mercury Cougar and Lincoln Mark VIII where the Fuel Pump goes around the axle or some other sush Nonsense but the Filter is doing well, that i will leave alone.. Regane seems like Magic at this point

Both are excellent cleaners. I personally have yet to try SL-1 from Redline. I have used several Gumout products and have always been happy. I'm sure RL SL-1 is an excellent cleaner. I can't see SL-1 being inferior to REGANE or Techron.

You could give SL-1 from Pepboys for $7.99. Here's a 10% coupon that be used.

I have printed several of these coupons for use at Pepboys.

Gumout REGANE is currently available at 3 of the Walmart stores in my area for $4.50. I purchased the High Mileage REGANE because I figuered it would have even more detergents than the regular REGANE. Yet, both the regular and high mileage are $4.50. I would think that the 4.50 price would be nationwide since it's at more than one Walmart in my area.

That is the one im talking about! They were sold out of the "High Mileage" but i like the way it poured out.. it looked like a serious Cleaner liquid! And as it contains PEA and all the other stuff i used didnt but cleaned -somehow,- .. im Satisfied with then the NON-High Miles one! I am soo tempted to give it another shot, at $4.50 a Bottle.. Stuff is WONDERFUL! However is it possible to "Over-treat" a Fuel System?

Also, AutoZone has -2- 12oz. Bottles of Chevron Techron ProGard Plus for $7.99 through the 28th. No coupon Needed.

I may use all 3... though i dont need to?

(Problem is my Tbird made it to 215,000 miles with never a cleaning, so now i feel it is time.)

I wonder if the magic of Gumout REGANE is the PEA! It HAS to be! SeaFoam and MMO are Excellent, but they dont do what REGANE did... (Very Smooth Operation, maybe it -Finally- cleaned my Fuel injectors)

Bottom line is that SeaFoam and MMO only have solvents

NOT a true detergent, like PEA...when it comes to decarbonization no solvent can match the cleaning power of a detergent like PEA, not only that but most importantly PEA doesn't leave behind its own residue like some other gas detergents do.

PEA is the best fuel system cleaner. PERIOD.

You have to make sure though that the concentration is sufficient. It should be at least 35% concentration in the bottle. The best ones are 50%+

Techron Total Fuel System Cleaner
Regane Complete Fuel System Cleaner

Both have at least 50% PEA concentrations.

Show a recent msds that proves that both cleaners have at least 50%! I've seen them range between 30-50% but NONE that starts at 50%.

MMO is more of a lube that happens to do some cleaning instead of a cleaner.

I've used the $4.50 Gumout Regane High Mileage in my Buick. It worked as advertised. The car was smoother at idle and felt like it was working less after running it through. The MMO I usually use didn't have the same feeling. In my application, the MMO is used to control knock with E10, as it's an older car designed when E10 wasn't sold everywhere.

Sorry for my mistake...I meant to say that both have 50% but for PEA to be truly effective at cleaning deposits it needs to be at least 35% in bottle concentration.

While they don't publish the exact concentration if you call them they will disclose the concentration.

Looking at Homer's other posting, I want to know when he added more gas. He was running on "E" with the bottle of REGANE. That is a some strong concentration of the cleaner dosage!!

Less kerosene in the 8oz bottle at 50% PEA, gotta go for the smaller bottle.

Remember the only truly active ingredient in the bottle IS PEA so nothing else matters as long as it is neutral for the delievery of the PEA detergent.

But the 16 oz bottle would have the equivalent of 66% PEA compared to that small 8oz bottle with its 50%. I would definitely go with the big bottle, if the price is right.

The 16 oz bottle will NEVER have 66% PEA and NEVER has. Did some of you actually look at the original Regane MSDS before they took PEA concentration off and before the bottle got smaller? I don't think so because lately there has been a lot of misinformation here. If you did, then you would've seen that Regane PEA concentration was NEVER was near 66%! Their MAX concentration is only 40%. That's why a lot of people here push the Redline s-1 because they have a lot more PEA in it than Regane. Regane is cheaper which also makes it a great buy. 3M new product even has more PEA concentration than Regane. Look at it's msds to see for yourself.

Here is an old MSDS of Regane http://msds.walmartstores.com/cache/601221.pdf As you can clearly see, the concentration is ONLY 40% MAX, not the 50% and 66% that people are pushing on this site. Let's reply with facts people. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't.

There never has been a nationally available product (in most parts stores) that has more than 50% PEA.

I do know that an old MSDS I saw directly from the Gunk/Gumout
site from 2004 actually DID state PEA at 50%.

I only wish that SOPUS (owns Gunk, Gumout, brands now) would confirm in print that PEA does exist in their Complete Fuel System Cleaner and the concentration as well.

Exactly!! That is why I'm not buying the product anymore. Why buy a product with questions when you can purchase the product you know for sure still has it.

What I find funny in all this PEA is a good ingredient in a fuel system cleaner. If I were marketing a product that contained it I'd want people to know, not to guess. I use RL which IMO is the best there is after having tried just about all of them. JMO

That opinion is very factual. It's a great cleaner and I totally agree with the msds statement. The excuses that some members here give for the detergent being hidden are quite sad.

I want the ingredients printed on the bottle. I don't care what is listed on MSDS. Out of the four products, which has PEA listed either by the volume or by the weight on the bottle?
