Just changed the oil in our 2011 Volvo S80 3.0L T6 with this stuff as it was on sale and I’ve been trying a bunch of different oils in it to see what it likes best. Comes in a 10L drum too which is nice considering this engine takes 8.5L if you let it drain long enough.

The main reason I wanted to try it is due to its HTHS of 4.2 and NOACK volatility of 7.4 which sounds pretty awesome on paper! Low SAPS too which should help the cats out considering this car burns a little oil (maybe it won’t with an HTHS this high/NOACK this low!).

What do we think about it based on the TDS?

Numbers look surprisingly good for a 10w-40. I'd use it with confidence. Most 15w-40's have an hths of 4.1 some 4.2 but it is a bit thinner at around 14.5 kv100 but the noack and vii look to be lower than most other 10w-40's relative to the high hths which is good.

Update on this oil: we’re over 1,500km into this OCI and the oil level hasn’t moved a millimetre on the dipstick. Very happy indeed

Do you have any further update on this oil? It has peaked my attention also due to the above mentioned specs.

So I changed to this oil 4 months ago from penrite enviro and was impressed straight away. Set away for uoa and the result is below.
I don't have an exact comparison but based on the 1500k penrite sample this GW has performed better. The oil was in from October till now so over summer with some hard climbs and 4wding.
Their tech guy was also extremely helpful.
