GSP vs. Trakmotive CV axle

These are the RA options for the '92 GTI now that OEM not available, any preference?

I would buy a GKN in a heartbeat, they were likely the supplier of Volkswagen for new OEM parts.

I can't say anything about GSP but based on @The Critic and few others l tried trakmotitive. 2 weeks ago l put it on the CRV and have so far have been impressed. Normal function and zero vibration.

Checked them and Pelican too. Only FCP still lists them but not available.

I used a GSP on my TL Type-S and it has been fine. Looked well made and nicely put together when I installed it.

Look on Rock for inner and outer joins and just use the old axle, the list GKN inner and Vaico outers.

I put a Duralast Gold(reboxed GSP) on our Mazda 3 almost a year ago and has been fine so far.

Flip a coin. It's Ford v Chevy. They're comparable unless you can get into TPE boots, which I doubt they offer for a GTI

Rockford boot has TPE boots for this old timer. Fit them to new joints and its a winner.

Well, the GKN they have is not the correct one for my GTI. Both Vaico ends would probably fit.

It uses the 100mm inner. The 100mm inner is not notched where the transmission clam shell attaches like the GKN inner (which resembles the 90mm) that RA lists as available.
