Grilling steaks

I grill steaks over charcoal, 4 minutes per side, then on indirect heat for another 4 minutes. 100% delicious.

If it were just me eating the steak, it'd be "knock the horns off and wipe its rear" rare.
Ick. My mom was born at the beginning of the depression. They overcooked whatever they had, caught or shot. I was raised to not eat undercooked food.

My mother in law is very picky about it. If she sees blood she will leave and not come back

My girlfriend always asks for her steaks to be well done and I am in the rare to medium rare range and there is a huge difference in flavor. When she has extra steak left I don’t usually finish for her because her steak has no flavor left in it, even if it’s a very expensive cut of meat 😬

Set out steak for 30 minutes.
Coat steak with olive oil
Season steak with salt and pepper
Allow grill to reach 500 degrees before cooking
Sear both sides (3 minutes)
Move steaks to cooler section of grill or turn control knobs to medium heat.
Remove steaks once they reach 145 degrees internal temperature
Always cook-grill with a meat thermometer

Ima say, decent-good, but depends on cut.

Gibson’s seasoning salt. Found it at Costco. Walmart has it now. Smells like Italian beef but not after it’s cooked, not a bad thing. Weber propane for 35 years. First one lasted 17 years, second one 15, on the third one. Don’t miss charcoal.
