Grilling Brats

I'm not so sure about boiled brats, I like em grilled.
You won't find a boiled Brat in Wisconsin or at least in my County and most it's just really not accepted. After grilling Brats put into a pot of Beer butter and onions now that's another story but generally done to extend beer drink for a few more before eating.
 
Sausages that are white or greyish can be grilled or boiled safely. Sausages that are pinkish should be boiled and never grilled or fried. Their nitrate content makes them pink and while boiling them is okay, grilling and frying makes them rather dangerous to your health. A salumist told me that.
