I was greasing my truck this past weekend using my grease gun which I had just attached a new coupler to. On the very last zerk on the drive shaft, the coupler WOULD NOT turn loose of the fitting. I pulled, I tugged, and even tried to knock it off using a rubber mallet and a pair of pliers. I ended up unscrewing the coupler from the grease hose and by more pulling and sheer luck(?), it came off. What would cause it to get stuck? A defective coupler? Suction? Is this common? How do I prevent this from happening again? I’ve never had it happen and it scared me since I would have had a grease coupler rotating around with my drive shaft!
