Hello,
I have a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. After the holidays, I'm probably going to do a transmission service, or have it done. I have a couple questions, though:
1. Does this thing have a filter in the transmission cooler like some vehicles, or just inside the pan?
2. This isn't the usual "Where's the dipstick?" question. I've watched a half dozen YouTube videos showing me where it is. It's supposed to be on the driver's side, between the engine and the battery, way way down, under a thicket of wiring harnesses. Except it's not. I've looked 3 times, and for the life of me I can't find it. I can see the transmission housing, and it just looks smooth to me - no holes or anything protruding.
I know some vehicles have the fluid fill underneath, and you basically need special equipment to do it. Did Dodge change the design of this transmission at some point during the Gen5 era? Or am I just blind?
Thanks!
