Regarding the Dodge Durango 850RE/8HP50 transmission fluid change, I've ordered the Mopar 8/9 speed fluid and intend to do a drain & fill following the 8HP50 service information I found on here. Has anyone replaced the plastic drain pan plug Mopar # 52854762AA when they've done there drain & fill?
Wondering if the plug gasket would be a leak point once loosened and should I just install a new Mopar plastic plug to the recommended 8Nm shown on the plug.
I'm overdue on the transmission fluid change and coming due on the transmissionfer case and differential fluid drain & fills. I can at minimum do these during time off during the holidays. I plan to change the fluid pan in the spring when warmer if we plan to keep the vehicle vs. selling or trading in on a new Durango.
