GL4 conventional gear oil for manual trans?

I posted above that the T-case was a 242. It is in fact a 241DHD. Fat finger curse.

You can use any Automatic Transmission Fluid that meets the Chrysler "ATF +4" Specification. There are plenty of universal ATFs out there. Just check the label.

Your transfer case has drain and fill plugs. The fill plug is the hex plug below the tag on the first picture you posted.

I think my dad was telling me that modern chain transfer cases / aluminum case transfer cases need to be overfilled slightly with ATF via a pump and then you have to quickly reinsert the fill plug before the excess fluid leaks back out ?

I will research ATF+4 but I have like some type of normal american atf already and I think I have some toyota branded atf too
