She was not offended with any of the racial slurs and felt the movie portrayed the plight of some Asian immigrants fairly. Most of her Chinese, Taiwanese, and Singaporean friends have seen the movie and I cannot recall anyone stating they were offended.
This is an important movie for Asian immigrants as it brings Hollywood megastar power to some of their social issues and shines a light on them. My g/f really loved it that Eastwood was involved in a movie that dealt with issues many Asians can identify with.
Same here.. my wife's Laotion and didn't have a problem with it.
