In keeping with the "incomplete education" or "glaring absence" themes, I share the following.
A BIL of mine was a civil engineer. Early on, I was 17 or 18, he accompanied me under the car while I tasked.
He asked questions. Each answer broadened his vocabulary.
He went on to say, "They teach us how to build roads and not once did we look at the vehicles on them".
