Graduated from my MBA last Friday

Wat to go @PWMDMD. I know of many small business owners who are so good at their craft, such as mechanics, yet do only so-so or even fail financially because they are not business people.

In keeping with the "incomplete education" or "glaring absence" themes, I share the following.

A BIL of mine was a civil engineer. Early on, I was 17 or 18, he accompanied me under the car while I tasked.
He asked questions. Each answer broadened his vocabulary.
He went on to say, "They teach us how to build roads and not once did we look at the vehicles on them".

Regarding post 12, I'd rather be 'smarter than a barnful of owls' than dumber than a bucket of hair.

@PWMDMD, I always enjoy your posts. Congratulations on this excellent accomplishment! It says a lot, especially going back when you did. I’m not sure I could pull it off with the kids that age, and with your career in full swing! Nice work sir!

Quite a remarkable accomplishment, very good on you! I can see where your sons get their good looks! :)
When their faces aren't covered in black ;), they all look like their mother (thank goodness!)!

But, she's only 5'2" and I'm 6'5" so they get their size from me. This picture doesn't do him justice but the 16 year old just to the right of me, is 6'3" 220ish and already benching 245 for 5 and squatting 315 for 5 and he can two hand dunk a basketball. His other two brothers are 18 and 21 and only 6'0" 180ish and 6'1" 165ish.

I worked for 40 years in the. Texas Medical Center. Talking to the staff physicians at one of the medical schools there (3 now !) they said they chose that particular practice because they see patients, they teach but the University does 100% of the business. They don’t do billing, insurance, rent space, buy equipment etc.

They didn’t want to enter the business of medicine that they had no training for or desire to struggle with.
